Utopia is a world where everything is perfect and it's an ideal world where nothing is wrong, on the other side of things is a dystopia, and in this world things are bad, it usually shows a utopia, but with a dark undertone, such as in order for society to be perfect, others need to be put in isolation, or everything is perfect, but if you step out of line you're brutally beaten. I could go on for a while about dystopias, but that's the simple definition, a world where things are horrible and portrays a society that's far from ideal.
